If there’s one question we get a lot from clients seriously considering a remodel it’s this: so, what kind of timeline are we talking about? It makes sense; each remodeler has a different building philosophy. Timeline, process, and cost are the three big variables that determine the flow and success of your project.
Today on our blog, we thought it would be helpful to walk you through our basic remodeling timeline. While every project has its own circumstances, this is the general structure you can expect at The Cabinet Store.
Dreaming and Research
The first step of the design process revolves around you. We highly recommend doing some prior research online and finding an inspiration image to work from. Then our designers will have a better idea of your own unique style!
Visit Our Showroom
Next, it’s time to visit and explore our showroom! Say hello to your fabulous designers, browse our products and displays, and get a feel for who we are and what we do.
Meet Your Designer
Once you’ve officially decided to work with us, it’s time to meet your designer. This first appointment is when you’ll discuss your style, home, budget, needs, likes, dislikes, and everything else that will help them create your design plans!
Computerized Designs and 3D Renderings
After getting to know you, your designer will visit your home to take measurements (if needed) and get to work creating computerized designs and 3D renderings for your project.
Go Over Plans
Upon completing your initial design plans, your designer will meet with you again to go over their vision for your space. They’ll also get your input and make any changes or adjustments from your feedback.
Once final design plans have been locked in, it’s time to fill in the details! We’ll work with you to select finishes and tie up loose ends before starting construction on your remodel.
Demo and Construction
Next, it’s finally time to start tearing down walls and getting our hands dirty! Your designer will oversee your remodel and communicate with you and their construction team from start to finish.
Final Touches and Follow-Up
After the last wall has been painted and piece of tile has been laid, it’s our cue to get out of your hair. We’ll walk you through your new space, answer any questions, give instructions on aftercare, and then leave you to enjoy your new home!
